Make sure you put the item in your "bag" ... and apply the coupon code ... before you dismiss this ... as "another Tower 10% off sale" ... there is a reason that there is a "3 per customer" limit on most items ... i.e CCR Hybird SACDs for less than $20 ... the only bummer is that Tower is still charging sales tax for orders from TX (even though Tower no longer has any stores in TX) ... BTW I spent $160+ ...

 

35%, 25%, or 10%?

I'm confused by the different percentages people have reported. I get 10% off the items in my shopping bag. Has anyone verified a higher percentage?

 

I also received a 10% discount. Still, there are bargains to be found (such as the CCR SACDs) so even 10% is pretty good!

Also, if you spend over $100, you receive free shipping.

However, I was also charged tax (California).

 

The email ad indicated that Tower was putting everything on sale at 25% off, and that Thursday only, you could get an additional 10% off with this coupon. Hence, the 35% thread title.

 

What are the options with returns for errors on their part, damages, etc. since they are in bankruptcy with a third party doing all of the clearing out? I'd heard that there were a few hassles at the stores during the last weeks so ... I'd be wary to deal with them online.

 

Tower.com is separate from the stores. I've ordered through Tower.com dozens of times--including since the stores closed--and never had a problem. Got something from them in yesterday's mail, as a matter of fact.

 

Tower put everything at 25% off list price and then gave 10% off = total discount of 32.5%. I got much better deals with buy.com/Google Checkout thing...and they didn't tax you in FL.

More troubles---items appear on the search page at a 35% discount, but when I add them to my shopping bag, the discount reduces to 25%!

 

Correct. $100 or more gets you free 2-day Federal Express shipping. $20 or more gets you free snail mail shipping, which usually comes n 3-4 days actually.
