Cool.... one of my favourite bands and artists

Anyone know if Steve was involved in the remastering of these? If not I will ask my brother to ask him next time he sees him in the local pub.

Individual releases would be very welcome - I 'need' a copy of 'Shoot out...' with the 'cube' sleeve. That's the only one I don't currently have.

It's a pity that 'On The Road' isn't included...

I might as well start with the usual questions.

The albums were remastered from the original tapes? So, I assume it’s not all AAA?

Who cut the albums? No mention of Abbey Road and Miles Showell.

  5. Nice, but one of the classic rock bands of which there is plenty of cheap good US used vinyl, possibly a notch above that ambitious John Denver vinyl reissue program.

Lots of people (myself included) don't want to buy used vinyl...

    ... 1969 odds ‘n’ sods compilation Last Exit isn’t included. ...

Hmmm. Now that is weird. (Is it because Side 2 is live on Last Exit? I presume that is the reason.)

If they really didn't want to include Last Exit, they should have compiled an extra EP or LP of all of the non-LP tracks and studio rarities. It's not the end of the world, but (for example) "Medicated Goo" and "Shanghai Noodle Factory" are part of the classic studio output by Traffic and deserve to be included in this set.

Looks nice from the photo though.

  10. Cheap, good mastering, AAA chain, high resolution art work, inserts, etc.,

  11. Let me be your Vinyl whisper, I take you by the hand on a tour through all those great Pittsburgh used record stores. We' ll dine with Jerry at Spoon afterwards.:)

I know all of them, thank you (and Jerry is retired). I just don't want used copies. I don't care about the AAA stuff... I like shiny new copies.

Yeah the first side of Last Exit is crucial. A rarities disc would've been nice.

I too would like the opportunity to buy a couple of these reissues individually. If I'm buying something used, I want it to be NM–M and I just don't have the time to roam the earth searching for that elusive, near perfect used copy of John Barleycorn Must Die that doesn't cost $50.

  21. Yikes, Traffic averages $5-12 NM, VG+, Discogs has inflated prices.

The used bins at most stores around here are usually well-stocked with reasonably priced (or dirt cheap) Traffic LPs in great shape. I've easily picked up the LPs I wanted. If folks desire sealed LPs only, I would say wait for the pretty likely Insound 50% sale of this box in 9 months or so, although it is nice that they have a promo poster for each LP.

LOL since when would that album EVER cost 50 bucks??? 10 bucks maybe. This thread is like an April Fools joke gone on too long.

These would need to be very good and AAA before I'd bite - I wouldn't hesitate on an AP, Mofi or better yet, one step of any of these.

I’ve never met Steve but my brother says he’s a really nice guy who likes a quiet pint and keeps himself to himself.
