I run a somewhat successful local business. I met with my Account Exec for our bank yesterday to discuss an item. I then brought up a second item I had been meaning to discuss. We quickly moved through both items, so I said, "this was a great meeting, 2 birds stoned at once!" And then we both laughed.
I found this show about 2 weeks ago. I had always seen it on my Netflix feed but never paid any attention to it. I am glad I did, I am up to season 10 now. With around 25 minute episodes it flies by fast. Also watched a couple of the movies. I am trying to watch things in chronological order and I know some movies were made at different times, Would love to see Trevor return but that's unlikely at this point. I like how in one episode Bubbles tells Julian to do a "Michael Jackson". I believe this was a shot at the actor because that's his name but they play it off as "Yeah, just beat it!". A new season may be coming soon and it will be odd without Mr. Lahey but looking forward to seeing more. Once I finish this up I will move on to the animated series. Edit: Currently on Season 9 so I don't know what happens after this. Still haven't read the whole thread yet either but I do know J-Rock and Lucy leave.
And after seeing this, I immediately went and downloaded some Helix and Kim Mitchell from iTunes. Great songs!
Just finished Season 10 and so far it the weakest one. Hope 11 is better but I don't have high hopes with Lucy and J-Roc gone from the show. S-10 was still enjoyable but not near as good as the other seasons.
I agree with you about Season 10. I just re-watched all 12 seasons and #10 is definitely my least favorite. There was a meanness to Barb Lahey and her cohorts that was very unsettling to me. When I lived in Santa Fe, NM, my favorite sandwich shop featured a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich billed as the Philadelphia Collins.
Finally up to the animated series. Have only seen the first episode and it's better than I expected and a lot like the normal show. But with that said the dynamics of the show have really changed. The loss of Lucy, J-Roc and now Lahey are big losses even though the first two are minor characters. When I finish this I'll watch the the other specials.
Great will check it out, but by the end of the last animated season I was losing interest fast. Would like to see another live action season but I guess it would be hard with no Lahey.
So has anyone binged the latest animated season? How is it? I'll get to it eventually but have a ton of other shows to finish before I get to it.
