I have quite a few tribute albums and I tend to go to these the most.

It took me a while to find an affordable copy of this.
Black Sabbath songs done by a Hammond B3 Trio.
    Worth the search ... awesome.

I was going to suggest this but it's already been mentioned.

Fantastic album! (from 1991) 74 minutes long and not a wasted moment on it.

    Los Lobos
    Bruce Hornsby
    Elvis Costello
    Suzanne Vega
    Midnight Oil
    Lyle Lovett
    Warren Zevon
    Dr John
    ...& more

    Look into this!

Of all the great tribute albums I own or have heard, this one stands out as my all time favorite. Tim Christensen and the Damn Crystals, Mike Viola and Tracy Bonham do the perfect and I mean PERFECT tribute to my favorite McCartney record Ram as a tribute to Paul on his 70th birthday. Was originally available as a 2LP/DVD which is quite rare now.

    "Brace Yourself" -- Otis Blackwell

And the five Hal Willner tribute albums between (but not including) the Nino Rota and Leonard Cohen. They sort of transcend "tribute albums" but that's what they are, anyway.

Gotcha beat - Big Daddy, a "novelty" band that re-did contemporary songs in the style of pre-Beatles-Era hits, played the whole of Sgt. Pepper's in their faux-retro style.
"Day In The Life" as a Buddy Holly medley is worth the price of admission; the "final note" in itself is sublime:

I like this Phosphorescent tribute to Willie Nelson, and then discovered it was similar to one Willie had done for Lefty Frizzell. It's not bad either.

On the To Willie disc it says From Phossy on the cd itself.

"Saudades" by Trio Beyond, a tribute to Tony Williams...

None of the tracks from the actual album are available for free on Youtube, but here's a live track.

To Lefty From Willie is lovely, as is his later tribute to songwriter Cindy Walker.

Sco/Go/Jo do a fine job of bringing the energy needed for a tribute to the Tony Wms. Lifetime. Sco's Country For Old Men is a decent 'genre tribute', although the tour supporting it was better.

Will have to check this out on amazon Music. Had seen it on Amazon but only recognized Syd Straw on it so didn’t buy.

Another tribute to Tony Williams, but reflecting his subsequent version of Lifetime.

I have no idea if it will be there as it was created with the special "Limited Quantity License from the Harry Fox Agency, so a used CD might be the only option.

I'm biased because Tom is a friend, but on the other hand Kate's father Robert did like the album.
