I don't want to burst your bubble Dave, but magazines have been known to be wrong. :)

WHAT! Oh my God! Ya, ya meeeean, I'm wrong for the very first time in my life! Maybe, I'll just post trivia questions from now on, and when asked I'll just reply "I dunno, I was hoping some else would know" ;)

Sooo does anyone know for sure?:D

That a Rush fan is wrong? No ;>

Yes used plenty 'o lasers on their 1976 tour. I witnessed it.

I'm not sure they were the first though.

    Krabapple,

Feeling a little sarcastic today are we?

I'm not perfect you know, but I do remember hearing and or reading that they were the first to use them and that they were the instigators in developing it.:)

Here's another reason that I am sure that Wings had lasers in their show back in '76...

Alright...something strange is obviously going on here!

Claviusb and MagicAlex...both with, what looks to be...proof positive.

Wait a minute here...I remember The Burma Shaving America thing...

Wings Over America sounds "phoney" as a Susan B. Anthony dollar...

MagicAlex, the Forum Detective is on to you, buddy!

I'll let ya off with just a warning this time, but watch it! ;)

    Er uhmm Pat,

Knowing what I know, I'd be willing to bet that Alex's is the real McCoy and Clavius did some creative artwork alteration. ;)

Well, cough it up Alex and Clavius. :D

All I'll say is, my ticket clearly states there were lasers in the show, and Magic Alex's does not. Pat sure is sharp (seriously, Dave-- Pat has it all figured out if you read his post).

Alex' image only proves that Wings toured then, and Claviusb's is obviously an amusing forgery, but here's are a couple of photos taken at couple of Yes concerts in *1976*, with all lasers set on 'stun':

Well, Wings kicked off their 'Wings Over America Tour' 03.05.1976 Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Convention Hall, TX. Can you beat this date?

Didn't Yes kick off their '76 tour at 05.28.76 Roanoke, VA, Roanoke Civic Center Coliseum?

McCartney clearly states the usage of laser in the 'Wingspan' documentary. Macca wins again!

Yup...that's a real ticket stub for the record! Rescheduled for 7.6.76 :p

Saw them 6.4.76 at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, too! :p

Still have my ticket stub someplace too, 6/21/76 LA Forum. The bootleg of the concert was called laser beams. However I don't recall that being the first concert I saw lasers used at. But I sure remember them clearly during Live And Let Die.

What a bummer, I still have my whole ticket for Grand Funk/ Black Sabbath cuz I was 15 and the guy that was giving me a ride ended up sick in bed.

    Yep! I got it alright!

And to think, MagicAlex even had the nerve to sit in your same seat, in the "re-named" arena some 40+ years later. It really erks me!

I saw the 'Division Bell' show downtown Nashville, Tennesse. Best show I have ever witnessed from any standpoint. Not to rub it in Dave, but sorry you missed it!

Here's another that I saw, while my tickets are out. I had the choice to see Dylan or REM and I chose Mr. Zimmerman (By the way, yesterday was his birthday!). Now, I know that Bobby is a big star and all, but, this was not a good show. It was close to the end of the tour and he seemed to me to be very tired. The highlight of the concert was G.E. Smith of Saturday Night Live lead guitarist fame.

    REM was touring 'Green'....
