Ha! I went into a Luskins (remember them?) one day to purchase car speakers, and every single home speaker had its cones pushed in. Every cone was inverted, every soft tweeter indented. I asked the salesperson about it, and he said it was pointless to try to stop it -- they were in a mall -- so they just left the damaged units out for further punishment rather than sacrifice additional inventory. Shows you how important auditions were!

A friend saw the same thing at a high-end dealer, who had endured a visit from a wholly undisciplined child the day before, damaging tens of thousands of dollars of equipment, without so much as an apology from the parents, or even a harsh word directed at the child.

Some of those titles would fetch a penny these days! (They are all actual IRS titles under the hammer.)
