'U2 for you' Rare Japan cassette? Bids over $300 now!!!

This seems an unlikely price for a cassette?

Is this just crazy fan bidding war or actual U2 gold?

Good luck to the seller, thats what I say. I've bought from him before and he is faultless. I bet he never knew the bidding would go sky high on this cassette?

It's crazy isn't it? I wonder if one will drop out? I really can't see this selling for this amount, although I'll be pleased for the seller if it does! He started it at $7.99.

I've found a site that lists almost every U2 cassette - and the guy has this in his "WANTED" list as a Japanese promo. So maybe it is uber rare?

That'll be an expensive meal in his case. I'm guessing that he isn't gonna play it

 

The tape contains music from two 45-rpm 12-inch singles, "New Year's Day" (18S-183) and "Two Hearts Beat As One" (18S-184). I bought my vinyl records from this seller and didn't pay anywhere near the amount the cassette will fetch.

But US $787.77!!!!! More money than sense! He got $150 for Kiss Double Platinum Cassette too. Jeez!

 

Me too. I got some very nice LP's from Mana. Although for some strange reason he's now switched to selling cassettes...I wonder why that could be lol Good on him. Nice guy, deserves some decent sales.

But did you not hear?, cassettes are the new vinyl.
I have got some Irish U2 cassettes from the very early days in my attic.
I might un-box them again.
I remember one from CBS with Boy on one side and October on the other.
Also a Irish CBS cassette single with "A Celebration" and "Trash, Trampoline And The Party Girl" on both sides.
