Live in Youngstown on Vinyl for RSD

This RSD 2020 release features, for the first time in its entirety, one of the six concerts recorded to make up the seminal double live UFO album Strangers In The Night. The Youngstown ’78 show alone fills up two discs! UFO are currently celebrating their 50th anniversary with… a world tour!

“Intro” / “Hot 'N' Ready” / ”Pack It Up (And Go)” / “Cherry” / “Let It Roll” / “Love To Love” / “Natural Thing” / “Out On The Street” / “Only You Can Rock Me” / “On With The Action” / “Doctor Doctor” / “Lights Out” / “Rock Bottom” / “Too Hot To Handle” / “Shoot Shoot”

RD, you're on it! It would have been nice if they had added the b-side "On With the Action" at the end like it was done for The Chrysalis Years (1973-1979) set. I'm glad the new remaster is for the original track listing. If it doesn't start with "Natural Thing" it's not Strangers in the Night."

What tracks are missing? Always thought 'Live '73' was the full show

Easily one of the top ten most iconic live rock releases of all time. You always see it listed as such.
Will be good to hear those songs that where re-recorded live in the studio actually played live in concert and the reasoning behind it.

Unless I'm mistaken, the two studio songs were recorded for inclusion on the LP because they weren't played at the shows.

Here's the breakdown for the number of versions (minus the original album):

    Natural Thing 4
    Out In The Street 6
Only You Can Rock Me 5
    Doctor Doctor 6
    Love To Love 6
    Lights Out 6
    Rock Bottom 6
    Too Hot To Handle 6
    I'm A Loser 3
    Let It Roll 6
    Shoot Shoot 5

    Hot 'N' Ready 6
Pack It Up (And Go) 6
    Cherry 6
    Ain't No Baby 2
    On With The Action 4

Apparently not all of it. The track listing has Too Hot To Handle and Shoot Shoot at the end of the Cleveland show. They're not on the Official Bootleg Box Set.

Interesting. I didn't notice. They probably kept those off to make it a single disc I imagine.

Anyone know? If you look at the 2008 release:

    1. Hot 'N' Ready (Youngstown)
    2. Cherry (Cleveland)

Mother Mary and This Kid's are studio with added applause, but then for the rest of the songs on the original SitN, I can only find that they're collectively from Chicago and Louisville. Anyone know, song by song?

Dang it. ;) I was here:

Sat - Sep 9 - 1978 - Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA, USA - Blue Öyster Cult, Thin Lizzy, UFO

    But ...

    Live in Chicago, 13/10/78
    Live in Wisconsin, 14/10/78
    Live in Youngstown, 15/10/1978
    Live in Cleveland, Ohio, 16/10/78
    Live in Columbus, Ohio, 17/10/78
    Live In Louisville, 18/10/78

A mite bit too early to be on the album!

Why are they calling it Live in Wisconsin? It's Kenosha. Hard core touring - 6 straight nights and all were recorded. I will buy this set for sure.

That pricing must be incorrect? Clicking on the Audio CD version it changes to the 1999 release.
Not sure if I need anymore versions of Love To Love or Lights Out.... will see if the pricing comes down to something a bit more realistic.

It's so early that Amazon doesn't have it on their site properly yet. What's being sold for hundreds of dollars is a version of the CD from a second hand seller. What they do is offer one up for an incredibly high price in the hopes that someone will bite. Happens for most products where something is out of print. Once there's a release date, you'll see the correct price up there (and it may even go down from that, as that price will be the list price).

You can tell that this is an incorrect listing and the second hand seller is the one selling it because it says there's "1 in stock". And this hasn't been released yet.

    "Ships from Mega-Movie-DealsMega-Movie-Deals"

And if you have amazon music, you click on "listen now", it says "We're sorry. This selection is currently unavailable." Which proves that even the mp3 listing/pricing is incorrect.

to be fair, I doubt anyone in the U.K. knows where Kenosha is. (It’s very possible a lot of people in the U.K. don’t know where Wisconsin is, either.)

This is actually an 8 disc set it seems....packaging sounds loke a box with drawer and mini-lp's inside :)

Deluxe Edition. This new 8CD box set includes all 6 complete original concerts for the first time (5 previously unreleased) as well as a newly remastered version of the original album. Four of the shows have been newly mixed from the original tapes. The packaging is a 2-part rigid slipcase, 8 mini-lp style sleeves along with a 24-page booklet containing new sleeve notes by Michael Hann who has interviewed Phil Mogg, Andy Parker and Michael Schenker.
