Agreed, though very much trying to appease Ure Vox fans, with Sam Blue's vocals.
Funny listening to Vinnie Burns being restrained for once, he is quite the shredder.

At least you got the stunning "Moments From Eden" package! The most over-the-top package design I've ever seen for what was in effect, a single or EP. It had the kind of design and packaging overkill that's commonplace now for bespoke records costing close to three figures, but it cost <$20 at the time of issue in 2011! They really left money on the table with that one! It could have sold, as is for $35-50. I got the first release from the official webstore with the added print.

By the way… the art was highly influenced from the [Canadian] Mr. X comic book of the early 80s created by graphic designer Dean Motter.
    [IMG] [IMG]
Which was itself completely influenced by the Ultravox song of the same name from a year prior! The art on the Ultravox "Moments From Eden" was designed by comic artist Rian Hughes…who had worked on later editions of "Mr. X" comic from the later 80s! I once had a weird long email thread with Mr. X creator Dean Motter about this topic when I brought it to his attention. He and his friends [all famous comics artists I was familiar with from when I read comics] were discussing the Ultravox artwork and how Hughes had cribbed the style from Mr. X.

You did know that the iTunes version had a bonus track, right? On it was the only place to get "The Thin Wall [live in Berlin]." I bought the song as a single DL.

I know they're friends, but I never liked Howard Jones. I [briefly] saw him once on the Barenaked Ladies tour that also had OMD opening up. It was worse than I expected, with EDM versions of his pop songs. At least it's electric Midge Ure with the stalwart Tony Solis on bass! Have fun! Get your rarest Midge Ure record autographed! He's a real gent. I'd go if it were in town…and there was no pandemic. Not expecting miracles there by this summer.

That's the one mix of "Yellow Pearl" that I don't have! I still need that CD. "Yellow Pearl" is my favorite Midge Ure recording outside of Ultravox and Visage. A song I can't get enough of.

    howard jones isn't for everyone.

for me, i've been following him since his first album, and like him for a few more.

so i don't mind his music. i've already seen him twice, so that won't be the focus.

yes, its too bad, the set will be shorter, due to intro bands. but i'll take what i can get.

i'm not sure about meeting him. i haven't met an artist, since the late 90s. now, its not as
pressing an issue. i might want to say hi, and thanks though.

let's see how things turn out.
