So what can we expect, that wasn´t released on the 2008 remaster?

No idea, but maybe it’ll be followed by an instrumental version on RSD 2022.

Almost a guaranteed purchase by me, going by the nice deluxe box set they gave us previously for Vienna.

    Can't wait.

I'll look forward to the 5.1 mix... I have no idea what else they'll put on here, but the Vienna 5.1 was good, do hopefully they notch it up a little with this one.

The Vienna box was one of the best of its kind, but Rage is my favourite Midge-era Ultravox of all. This should be amazing.

While the album is being worked on by Chrysalis, this listing on that shop site is purely speculative and no details of contents or release date are anywhere near being confirmed.

Also, Midge Ure has only confirmed that it is being worked on: he mentioned that on his BLC sessions several months ago and this last weekend said that the design/contents were 'almost finished'.

Take the listing a huge FO pinch of salt!

I don´t think we are gonna get any "new" songs like Animal on the Vienna album, but there´s a possibility that there are some Work in progress material. What I have read, is that they spent a rather long time in Conny Plank´s studio, jamming and built the songs from there. A concert recording is also a rather safe guess.

Excellent. Their best album in my view. If the Vienna box is the model, then I presume a new remaster, a Steven Wilson remix including B sides and single edits, 1 disc of session working takes. Probably a live concert, Hammersmith Odeon, October 1981. DVD with the videos. Not sure if pro shot live footage from 81 exists, but I hope so.

Nowadays, I thing Rage in eden is their best album. Songs like The Voice, I´ll remember, We stand alone, Accent on youth and the Thin wall, are fantastic!

I'll be happy with all the previous officially released stuff in 24-96, on the DVD, I doubt there will be any Video content, as there wasn't any with Vienna.
    Though I'm in whatever.
A nice flat transfer of the original album, would be a bonus.

I held off on a thread until there was official stuff about it, though we know it's a thing

I guess my question is Wilson doing this one as well. That and, please tell me they had more hanging around Conny's place. I know the record was barely finished at release, and one of it's b-sides isn't even recorded at his studio, though I can still hope for some more of unearthed Billy Currie going analog

I’m guessing that if there’s no out-takes we could get a bunch more of those work in progress mixes, two of which were on the last double cd reissue and which were sufficiently different from the finished versions to make them interesting. I’m not bothered about instrumental versions. Always seems a bit pointless to me…
RIE has become my favourite Ultravox album over the years. Used to be Vienna, but Rage has gradually taken the top spot. So I’m looking forward to this enormously.

From Cerice at www.ultravox.uk.org : "Yes, it’s real! I don’t have a release date yet, but will post when I do. I’m pretty sure it’s this year." & "On July 12st Dermot from Chrysalis told me that he was halfway through pulling together a Rage in Eden box set and that he'd managed to match the same number of discs as Vienna. So it's definitely coming, I just don't know when as yet."

I hope this does well, so we can move onto quartet and lament.

Its not my favorite, but it has some good tracks, b-sides, and remixes.

Great news and even greater if it comes out before Xmas. With the pressing plant issues going on, I am doubtful but happy to be disproven. :)
