It's 5 CD and DVD ...so pressing plants aren't an issue.
Vinyl can be released later for those that want that sort of thing.

    Getting spoiled this year

    Live at Rainbow footage
The Garden and Church this month
    More deluxe editions

Quartet is something I'm iffy about in terms of new songs though if I'm honest I would kill for a Systems deluxe. No way it would push as many sales but damn I really came to love that record last year

Systems is their best, there's also a few quality boots from the '79 tour, that could be spruced up.

Cerise is not fully informed of the facts. As I said previously, the sale listing was completely speculative by the store and there is no legitimacy in the details. Full details are currently limited to a small number of people and full approval is still outstanding. The fact that the sale listing has disappeared is because the shop was formally asked to remove it: not to be a killjoy but because it simply isn't a real product and any pretence to the contrary is simply misrepresentation. I for one will be truly pleased when Chrysalis announce it and, as with Vienna, will be stoked to see what the reaction is.

The product is being pulled together but there is currently NO confirmation of the format, release date, tracklistings and so on. Regardless of whether it is vinyl or CD, timelines are extremely protracted at the moment and any comment that it is likely to be this year or even February next year is completely wrong and stupidly optimistic.

    Hopefully.
I ordered all colour variants of these.
The Garden is my second favourite album of all time, it just gets pipped by Metamatic.

It would be unlike Billy to blab about a release that is not confirmed. He has a good relationship with the labels and wouldn't say anything until he knows the time is right.

As I wrote, Billy has written about stuff before on his own website, before it has been confirmed. I don´t remember exactly what it was. It could have been the last batch of remasters 2008 or something about the Ultravox reunion. But I mostly wrote it as a joke.

I agree, I'm really a fan of instrumental pop music, but the Vienna album in instrumental form was of interest and I'm glad I bought it. Like you Rage In Eden has become my favourite album, they fall off rapidly after that. But the combination of Ultravox, irrespective of the lead singer, and Conny Plank was the band at their peak. I think the album sounds pretty much perfect, but I'm intrigued as to what Steve Wilson can do with the material. Paths And Angels and I Never Wanted To Begin are the last top tier Ultravox non-album b-sides.

Like others have said, I don't think there's any unreleased songs from this period, but works in progress, alternative versions would be very welcome. As would full live show.

I'd love to see the band do a Vienna / Rage In Eden live show.

Ah OK - didn't realise it was a joke: I thought the smiley was referring to Billy being a very naughty boy! :)

I'd love to see them play anything live again, even if zimmer frames are involved for the three older band-members!

It's definitely coming but as I posted before I chose not to make a thread off a retailer listing that was the "only" thing to go on

Not trying to be pernickety (but likely succeeding), it's probably happening but still a number of hoops to jump & obstacles to overcome.

Hopefully they'll surprise us with some other live BBC we haven't heard before so we'll be in for a treat....:-popcorn:
I really like seeing midge playing the old PPG. Thou he can still replicate today that old synth 1981 analog sound with his new equipment. But that's the Ultravox signature.
Its very exciting to listen to them and never get tired of their music because its all about Places, Challenges and Triumph.
I don't remember any love songs that made me feel bad about a girl that left me for another guy... Besides the Hymn making me look like i'm reciting the national anthem... :fly:
