Midge Ure has also confirmed in his lock down broadcast, that they are working on the box. No smoke without fire. The Vienna box seems to have sold well enough, so I´m pretty sure that´s something´s going on.

And it sold well enough to issue an Instrumental version on RSD. Hoping for them to do the same for Rage/Quartet and Lament:- box set with instrumental version to follow.

The instrumental version is excellent. Like you say.. hoping for RIE one too but .. without the hullabaloo, of RSD.

I know "probably" is basically yes, I didn't doubt it was coming, I assume a lot of people have to keep quiet which is 100% fine, the implication is things aren't finished/legal stuff

Not really - I'd already said it was being worked on. And I'm not a PR guy: plenty of other roles on the release but PR isn't one of them. I'm slightly too blunt for that line of work.

My favourite mk2 album. A much darker vibe than Vienna. I'm hoping for a limited edition coloured vinyl version as well as the cd+dvd.

@Michael McGreevy: pretty sure there will be more than one version.....

    Thanks for this.
A bit odd for LP 3 to start with ‘bonus’ tracks and the live stuff to start halfway through a side.
Nice content though, hopefully an instrumental version for RSD as per Vienna last year.

Any idea if LP1 is a remix?

Hopefully the CD version will have more unreleased stuff, coz as it stands, this is pretty underwhelming.
24 bit flat transfer on the DVD, hopefully.

I'm expecting a stereo remaster, 1cd of early versions and demos, and
and maybe a surround sound version on the DVD.

i love the unreleased stuff, but most people only listen to it once or twice,
and thats it. i would rather have instrumental versions.

    Yes.....

Since it is now everywhere, it's another shop (this time in Czech republic) that has jumped the gun with some info that seems to have leaked from the distributor. I've said it before but it's silly to start jumping up & down because some random shop says they know what is going on because, invariably, they don't. Especially one in the Czech Republic, far away from anywhere that is working on this release.

The track titles are correct but discs 3 & 4 are all from the same venue. As suggested above, it would be daft to do otherwise unless there was an issue with the recordings themselves. More news to come when it's due.....

Actually I guess U-Vox was actually MK IV so that would be MK V & VI that you like. Each to their own but I really don't like them I guess because they pale against the first seven albums (eight if you include Monument).

So does that mean that the 2009-2013 return was MK III, MK III(B) or MK VII? These are important questions that must be answered!

U-Vox would be MK IV, you are right, although if the drummer was not actually part of the band, but just a hired hand, then it would remain MK III.
The reunion was still MK III.

Just follow the Deep Purple template.

Ah but the drummer was part of the band in MK III and not in MK IV. However, in my MK VII, he was a formal part of the UV limited company set up at the time but not part of the songwriting band. Technically that probably means 2009+2012 is still 'legally' MK III but 'emotionally' is MK VII.

I think I need a lie down after that....
