Damn, the Corey Feldman thread from today was my favorite thread in a long time, looks like it got zapped
some think it's their best. I am not in that camp, as I absolutely love Siamese Dream/ MCATIS and Pisces
This is an excellent remaster of a terrific album. Chicago Transit Authority (Rhino RS 76171) Remastered by David Donnelly at DNA Studios, Studio City, CA
I’d put Siamese Dreams and Pisces as their best. Pisces has the most ripping version of Sandoz I’ve ever heard! Blistering guitar! Gish...picked this up many years after much exposure to Siamese Dreams and Pisces. While strong, I feel there’s just a tad too much adolescence to it and doesn’t keep its momentum to the end. Anyone know the best pressing of Siamese Dreams to get?
A great guitar player, not without reason often compared to Hendrix. Classic blues and hard rock trio with a bit of funk and psychedelia. Never gained the praise he deserved though. I really like his first 4 albums, after that it's hit or miss. If you've never checked him out, try "Bridge os Sighs" - if it doesn't move you, I guess it's not your cup of tea
This, exactly. Kind of like Rory Gallagher in that sense. (Although with Rory start with "Irish Tour," IMO)
Kids and wife gone asleep, so it's time to listen to some appropriate music for this late, cold, windy evening. Jan Hammer, Jack DeJohnette, Michael Brecker and John, playing without a bass player, but obviously not giving a s..t about it having so much fun. Etherreagge is such a brilliant song.
KISS - Louisville, KY - 12/14/84 Excellent audience recording (and there's surprisingly quite a few AWESOME ones from this tour!)
