    Ace Frehley - Spaceman

I don't expect him to be Zappa and reinevent the wheel - it's Ace we're talking about here :) - but if he can keep releasing albums as enjoyable as Space Invader and Spaceman, his budding late-career bloom is gonna be great!

From a family with some, ahem, issues. But you can't say they don't know how to sing.

Delbert McClinton, Second Wind, on the old Capricorn label. Includes a version of Big River.

Sonically poor (very poor), but still valuable for the improvisation.

Trying out some Popol Vuh this morning, all new to me. Hosianna Mantra, In den Gärten Pharaos and
    Einsjäger & Siebenjäger. Quite enjoyable.

Yes, definitely a challenging listen and worth the effort. After a few minutes my ears and mind adjust.

Another new to me set for the afternoon. Jackie O Motherf**ker: Bloom, Earth Sound System and the Sing Your Own Song EP. Think I will need to continue investigating them, they have a real nice off the beaten path experimental improv thing going on.

At PNC in Charlotte waiting through AFI for Noel G.

Their sound guy should be shot.

    Nothing but kick drum.

WORST sound I've ever heard at a show holy crap.

    This is awful!!!

Why would you make it so you cant even hear the guitar!!!!

All you hear BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM from the kick drum

    :(

    Oh my god this sucks.

Theres a guitar player onstage but youd never know unless you looked.

The first time I see you losing your usual enthusiasm. That show must be truly awful-sounding!!!

A lot easier for me to listen to now than it was when it debuted, but still weird Pete!

If Noel and SP sound like AFI did then keep your eyes peeled on the news for a soundmans recent death...

Thats my favorite solo Pete album!
The cover used to scare me - the eyes! :p
