Ok. Waiting for Pumpkins now. Noel was TERRIFIC!!! I absolutely hate his 3rd solo album but he played 5 songs from it and thet came across AWESOME live! Also the soundman lives to see another day - the sound for Noel was as perfect as ive ever heard in a live show. Screw AFI!

I have no understanding of why Cleveland and Houston are in such trouble, though. But musically it hits the spot.
Finally saw the original film today. This tune grooves 12 ways to Sunday (score by 'boneist Jay Jay Johnson (allegedly)):
Oh my god, this studio "Stash" hits the spot. @warewolf95, @adamos, @Erik B., @ThirdBowl, @Crispy Rob and @trd understand. Sorry if I left anyone out. This is the Temple of the Unknown @ User. It absolves me of all alleged transgressions. You are not exonerated. After this I have to go for the Doors' Unknown Soldier.
Omg Pumpkins MURDERED!!! The usual hits, some big rarities and some more recent cuts. It was phenomenal - the giant balloons and light setup were sick. Very creepy at times. It was 90 minutes but felt like - in a good way - a 3 hour regular show. It was paced to perfection!!!! I held off seeing them during the Oceania era and im glad I waited. For a first show of mine this was spectacular. Youre gonna have a blast!
Saw them last year. Sounds like it will be different but similar. I have tickets to the next night too but not sure if I’m going then as well.
Man, A Picture Of Nectar is a great f'n album. I remember my friend and I were waiting for this album to come out even before we had ever seen them. I stole my brother's cassette copy of Junta, so that was Summer 1990. I listened to that tape one time, and I was, er, hooked. So my first year of law school, my friend Brian and I would listen to Junta constantly. One night we go to a record store, like Strawberries or whatever, and I'm making fun of the new David Byrne album cover, and my friend asks the record store guy, "Have you heard of a band callled Phish? We want to track down any other music they have." If you imagine Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory making that statement, that's sort of what it was like. And the guy says, "They just signed with Elektra, they'll have an album out soon." So we kept checking back until one day it was there. And we loved it. And then we found Lawnboy and we loved that. By the time we started seeing them in '92, this band could do no wrong. And there was about a year or two for me there where Phish was the most perfect band that ever lived. And the Dead were still kicking during all this, but I departed the Dead when Brent died, pretty much, for better or worse. But now I'm listening to Round Room. Hey, it's in the library, gotta listen to it sometimes. It's probably better than I remember, or not.
Reminds me of when someone is behind me driving with the sub-woofers rattling loose sheet metal on their car. How can that sound good?
Alas, I had tickets for King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard tonight, but chose not to go due to a nasty sinus infection. I'll probably never forgive myself for missing out....
