I would call it quarter baked. They chose the worst versions of the worst songs from that tour. At least the cover art is cool. In fact that is the best thing about that record.
Awesome album. I finally came across it a few years after release and couldn't believe I missed it originally.
Yeah that's Andrew Robinson as Scorpio, one of my favorite movie villains ever. That's cool about driving by the trestle.
Legendary Afro-Jazz musician Manu Dibango • RIP 86-year-old Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango died of COVID-19 last week. Dibango’s music shook the world: His discography spans six decades and at least as many genres, with forays into jazz, funk, and hip-hop. Over roughly 60 albums as a singer, songwriter, composer, and instrumentalist. His music & words were sampled on hundreds of songs.
Listening/watching clips of Mike Keneally live at the Baked Potato in LA. This guy is just so talented and his band is great too.
Still need to check this one out. Was hoping to see him, Mary Lattimore and Steve Gunn last week but that wasn’t to be.
I'm a huge fan of Steve Gunn, especially the Gunn-Truscinski Duo. That would be a great show... I'm sure they will come back around.
I get that. To each their own. Personally, I won't listen to music unless I'm in the mood for a challenge or at the very least, complete immersion with no chance of distraction (save for a disaster occurring in my neighborhood). I haven't listen to jack today. Just not up for it.
Yeah, I know you can dig in to the layers more than a lot of us and understand what's going on down deep. Me, not so much, so I just go for what moves me.
