McCoy Tyner Sahara. Nice intensity right out of the gate. The Japanese vibe on Valley Of Life is cool too.
The Bishop’s Move Peter Brotzmann Trio & Evan Parker Trio recorded live @ Victoriaville Festival in May, 2003 with William Parker & Hamid Drake aka Die Like a Dog Trio with Alexander von Schlippenbach & Paul Lytton (Barry Guy was supposed to come but visa issues and the great pianist did the North American tour with EP & Lytton instead. I saw the Parker trio & the Brotzmann trio separately @ Tonic on Norfolk Street in NYC before or after this one time meeting of the 2 giants - might be their only time playing together over the past 45-50 years since the early days with Globe Unity or in Peter’s early groups. 73 minute set - continuous - have not listened in at least 10 years as I do not have the CD any longer - let’s go!!! - streaming on Tidal Victo Records
Jessica Lauren - Almería (2018) Almería, by Jessica Lauren Sunday evening's lounge fusion, this time from London...
Just finishing this one up. Anthony Braxton New York, Fall 1974. Listening to this one I think for the second time. Totally dig it. Definitely some free jazz stuff since it's Braxton but also some more accessible moments including straight bop. Dave Holland on bass.
Old 97s - Too Far to Care So I sidled up beside her, settled down and shouted, "Hi there" My name's Stewart Ransom Miller, I'm a serial lady-killer" She said, "I'm already dead, " that's exactly what she said

The Ghost of Tom Joad Bruce Springsteen a cover that is scary, so bad it is ... But what matters here is the music ... and I would say that there is. Seriously! Great MUSIC!!
Bought this 52 years ago based on the Noel Redding connection. Struggled to like it and soon sold it on. Can’t say it’s improved with age. Gave up after 4 tracks
Liturgy - Origin of the Alimonies (YLYLCYN, 2020) What used to be a black metal band now features chamber music and an arrangement of Messaien's "Apparition of the Eternal Church." Plus blast beats.
Agitation Free, 2nd (1973 via a 2019 CD reissue). German improv band that sounds at times a lot like '69-'72 era Floyd. Digging it.
