Playing the only two Fleetwood Mac albums with Christine McVie that I own tonight, Future Games and Mystery to Me. I need more... really enjoying these. RIP.
Suddenly, I'm in high school again. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - Souvenir (Deluxe) Disc 5 - Live at Hammersmith Odeon 10/5/1983 And memories are uncertain friends
I was bought this by the girlfriend to whom I “lost my innocence”. Both record and girlfriend are long gone, but I wish I still had the former.
Maybe it's time for Duffy & the lads down at the Arms to have a proper punchup with the shoegaze punters
When you're gifted with a sense of humor like his, you've just got to share it with others. You can't be keeping that kind of material all to yourself!
KG&TLW - Omnium Gatherum 2022, self-released This album starts off with an 18 minute opus, then runs for another hour. It's a beast, all over the place from metal to funk, soul, indie, hip hop, you name it. There are some insanely catchy ear worms here along with some crazy showmanship. Strangely, the official release is a needle drop that doesn't sound like a great one. Definitely a case where it's worth looking for other versions ripped from the LP... If you're into that kind of thing, of course.
Weezer - SZNZ: Spring/Summer/Autumn EP's As anyone that's a Weezer fan knows, the only thing certain about their output is uncertainty. If one album is great, expect the next one to disappoint you, then get hyped for the next one to be great again. Basically. That makes it that much more rewarding when they come around again and release another banger! And I tell you what, the SZNZ releases so far are the best thing they've done since White back in 2015. By a long shot. I don't count OK Human. That's a killer album but does not sound at all like the typical Weezer style. So yea, Weezer have finally figured out how to indulge in their slick and over-produced stylings while at the same time keeping the songs rooted in the ballsy heavy rock of Blue while ALSO exploring new styles and sounds all at the same time!! They tried tossing it all in a blender again like Raditude - but this time it WORKS. They have finally figured out how to explore their pop obsession without sacrificing the sound and style we love and expect from good Weezer. I can't say enough good stuff about these release. Absolutely Grade A Weezer. SZNZ: Spring SZNZ: Summer SZNZ: Autumn
Lol a question was asked and answered, not sure a GD fanbase can tell anybody else what's edgy and what isn't. Wasn't going for originality, just honesty.
First of all, welcome to the second best thread on the internet!! So here is the question that was asked So, you usually listen to the GD, but aren’t right now, great! Always love to hear what other Deadheads are listening to outside the GD! It’s ok to share, you are among friends here, strangers stopping strangers n all….
You, sir, are at least a gentleman. I will clarify for the masses--by and large, I loathe the GD and would rather have acid funneled into my ear canal--however a good friend loaned me "Europe '72" which I have to admit I did enjoy at one point. During the holiday season I start to bring out grading music, so Orchestra Baobab, Thievery Corporation, early Gary Numan, Willie Nelson, and Spiritualized.
Some little Feat, this morning. Joing them a lot. Good Audio, too No, not SACD's: simple OMR/Gold Utradiscs Little Feat: Sailin' Shoes Little Feat: Little Feat
If we funnel our kind of acid into your ear canal (acoustic meatus) you may soon find yourself to be a Dead fanatic. Be careful what you wish for.
