Robert Plant | Allison Krauss A great match. Difficult to say, which one, of Raise the Roof and Raising Sand is the better one. But IF.... well, OK...their first one (IMHO) Raising Sand . It was a good wake up, this morning
Arushi Jain Under The Lilac Sky. Checking out this album that @johnnypaddock recommended last month. It’s a cool mix of classical Indian and electronic music.
Made a playlist of J.J. Cale greatest hits, covers of J.J. Cale songs (Eric Clapton & Friends - The Breeze) and Road to Escondido (JJ Cale & Eric Clapton). Great, mellow, laid-back groovie stuff.
Low Fi These songs are recorded between 1924 and 1948 Not really audiophile, but WOW, is it a great box! it's really interesting, (re)discovering so many bluesmen/blueswomen, often also (to me) totally unknown. Here we go to the birth of the blues, the poor one: guitar, voice, sometimes a harmonica. But cabbage, there is to enjoy, alright. The attached booklet is also interesting, with stories, narrations, photos, etc. I find these 5 hours (more or less) of listening exceptional. It's true that, in any case, I define myself as an audiophile, but I buy/listen to many CDs, and if I sometimes find opportunities of this kind, I buy them and... enjoy like a hedgehog! Various artists, Broke, Black & Blue 4 CD Box set
Abdallah Ag Oumbadougou - Aonu Malane. This is apparently one of the first studio recordings of Tuareg guitar. The production sometimes sounds dated but the songs have a catchy, bouncy beat and I like his vocals too.
well, it's to say, this KOELN CONCERT hated by some, loved by many, for me it is a masterpiece. Keith, here, is very inspired and shows with the melodies of the improvisations that he invents on the keys of his piano what he is capable to. Then, other beautiful records he has made, alone, but this one of .... UNSURPASSED. Sure... the records made in trio with Peacock and DeJohnette aren't less beautiful. The only disc (of those I have, by Mr. Keith Jarret) that is a little difficult is this double CD "Radiance"... I've often listened to it, I've always tried to get into this music, but it's not easy. nevertheless.... Just to say... "la Scala" it's less difficult, a little more melodious. anyway.... listening to the great Keith's "Solo" CDs, I always want to listen to him in trio. A little more sounds often enrich his musical program. And... not a little! For Example: "Standards Live", or "Personal Mountains"
