The remix released in 1991 features vocals and a couple of drums overdubs. I like the vocal versions, but the original mix, restored for the 2012 reissue is definitely the one to get.
I'm done re-buying what I already have unless absolutely 110% necessary. Too many times have artists/labels reissued stuff only to my chagrin. I'm not going to do it anymore.
Why you sonofa....Say that to my face! now, on topic - I listened to some Wayne Shorter in the car today. It was on the radio
Yesterday and today: The Fall - Singles box disc 2 (A Sides 1986 - 1996) Now: The Fall - Singles box disc 1(A Sides 1978 - 1985) I mean, how did I live without a killer track such as "Cruiser's Creek" before today?

This is great consumerism. This has every right to be your favorite Allman Bros. album, live or otherwise: This is a stellar release. It is awesome. If you like the Allmans, you should have this. I think it was @adamos that tipped me off to this, I can't remember. It's peak Allmans. What an awesome band they were. Definitely the GD's southern brothers. Just wow, if Duane had lived longer, but they did OK otherwise, because Duane set a template for them that arguably became bigger than himself. Figures Bear recorded this, right? Every band of this era should have had a Bear. I wish the Who had had a Bear. Now listening to Garcia/Grisman, Warfield, 2/3/91.
I hope to receive my deluxe edition next week. I listened to some "borrowed" tracks yesterday, and I can't wait. I could be listening to it right now, but I won't be able to enjoy until the physical product is here with me. I'm a record company's dream come true, ain't I?
I think Fleetwood mac had the English Bear, dilly or something? He ended up in the US before too long, I believe he was involved with the GD at some point. edit - it was dinky, dinky dawson.
I have the 1997 version of that issued on GD Records, but have been wondering whether or not to rebuy as an upgrade. The old one was worth a fair amount on Discogs until the new one came out, but I imagine it has dropped considerably. Great music and a nice Owsley recording indeed.

Oh wow, I didn't even know this was a re-release. I know of the one you are talking about, but I never bought it.
I have four of these five. But then again I bet just about everybody in this thread has three of these five.
I really like it too, in fact I need to give it another spin soon because I haven’t in a little while. I didn’t have the original so I can’t compare but this one sounds great. I thought I read somewhere that the full recordings which are currently only available via download are going to get a limited edition CD release too, but I’m not sure if that’s correct or when it’s supposed to happen.
