Released just one hour ago. Just finished the download and the transfer to the hdd connected to the Oppo. Now playing on the big rig Love the covers they played, especially Goin Back. An old bootleg favorite. Thunder Road is the the very same version featured on Live 75/85. The 17 min long Kitty's Back should be fun. That song could go out there in a jazzy way in the early years. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Roxy, West Hollywood, CA, Oct. 18, 1975
More Pere Ubu. Modern Dance, Dub Housing, Pennsylvania and Raygun Suitcase today and yesterday, may have already logged some of it. And, the Grateful Dead...a topic for another thread...
Crap I forgot how good...these two albums (this and the s/t) are tremendous. It was jam sessions they didn't even want released, which exemplifies why you should never consider what musicians think of their own stuff.
Dwarfs of East Agouza Bes with Alan Bishop on bass, this is seriously underrated I think, or at least under-heralded. Really psychedelic in the best sense.

Oh they love it of course. Many said so from the stage. And the mountain view is even better from the audience stand point imho. I'm standing in the middle, obstructed by Warren
I like Prince but I don't own any of his work. He's one of those artists everybody likes(especially after his death) but nobody ever bought his music for the last 25 years or so. He didn’t even get reviews from Pitchfork... But man was he popular live. A friend from work raved about the show he saw a few years before Prince passed away. I was thinking of attending as well but I didn't make it sadly.
Apostrophe’/Over-Nite Sensation. This conversation a while back prompted me to head to Discogs to get one of these again, just for fun: I have them separately on the 2012 CDs, but US $6.99 was a small price to pay for a bit of nostalgia.
A delightfully psychedelic album. I discovered that album as a teen and have enjoyed it ever since. Honestly, I don't play it often (because I've discovered so much other music during the past two decades!!), but it's always a treat when I do.
A great soundtrack for such undertakings, I prefer "side 2" as it is more supportive of being on the outside, looking in.
Listening to the fourth, "Jam-Filled" (and boy is it!) show from the Phish Baker's Dozen box. An excellent show so far.
Greetings & peace on this sad day... I usually post music from pre - 1955 which is what I have been preferring since early 80s... But today I am revisting my youth with something more contemporary & a band I saw live a few times The Yardbirds... I paid my respects to John early this morning with The John Lennon Collection....with Cold Turkey(my fav Lennon track) added on CD it is my go to Lennon... Right now I am in the midst of side 2 of Charly Records 1977 2LP set The Yardbirds - Shapes Of Things... With the 1st album appearance of Steeled Blues & 4 wonderful OUSD demos it remains the best compilation of Yardbirds 1964-1966 material... My copy is NM & like all Yardbirds it sounds better the more you dial up the volume... Canada issued the same set in 1978 on the Bomb Label & there is not a big difference in SQ... I own both but prefer the UK Charly... If you are looking for the definitive Yardbirds LP compilation then this is for you...highly recommended
Giving this one some repeated plays tonight. Paul Kantner/Jefferson Starship - Blows Against the Empire Edit: So weird. There is what sounds like a digital skip in Mau Mau. The same split second is played twice. I suppose possible. This pressing was released in 1981 from what I can gather. Is it possible? 20181208-IMG_9630.jpg by Ryan Spivey, on Flickr 20181208-IMG_9616.jpg by Ryan Spivey, on Flickr
I've been streaming the 3 disc version of the Baker's Dozen and loving the jam. Trey shreds among other things. Good stuff.
Can't think of better set of tunes for a chilly overcast December morning... disc one plus Goin' to Acapulco on disc 5, plus some earlier rotation on Mvy Radio.
