What I always remember about the PBS series Rock and Roll, is when they interview Jeff Beck and he tells the story of how someone came up to him and told him he is about to be asked to join a group. His response was "who is it, The Beatles?"
THE BEATLES WAS JUST A WARMING-UP FOR RINGO'S SOLO CAREER. Mr. Starkey's since 1970 his own boss, and now almost 50 years later still going strong! (With a little help from his all-star friends).

Three Paul heads can be explained away as being done in a pre-press department at the print shop (an art known in the printing trade then as a "strip trick", since computer graphics came on the scene in the early 90's, digital "strip tricks" are now commonly referred to these days as "Photoshopping"). Now as to why the "strip tricks" were done (assuming you are looking for a more sophisticated answer than "more Beatles gimmickry")... that I don't have the answer for.
It seems like everyone is in denial here, no one ever comments on Billy Shears. After he broke up the Beatles he did have a very good solo career.
I love his live album in the 70's! No comment about his movie career, though. Which, I suppose, in and of itself is still a comment.
Why didn't John, Paul and George stick on their early stage names (Long John, Paul Ramon, Carl Harrison)?
Written in certain member's post style: was john rutsey inducted with rush no he was not CRITERIA OR NO CRITERIA pete signe and skip were not involved with the success of either band so no induction
I hadn't really thought about it, but I know they liked to play with syllables and homophones etc. - "Please Please Me," "It won't be long till I belong to you..." The thing I notice about the first vocal line in "Baby You're a Rich Man" (1967) is the similarity to the first vocal line in "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" (1969). They're not identical, but they're close.
If the "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" movie had been made in 1999, would they have changed the lyric to "the one and only Britney Spears" and had her play the part?
