Actually, that Herb Alpert cover wasn't photographed in Mexico (as the "Current photos of famous covers" thread revealed).

 

me neither and it makes the US cover seem so sinister, like they're unlicensed mohels.

 

Was it southern California? I think maybe I still got it.

Fun tidbit. The cover photo on the A Love Supreme LP originally appeared in the gatefold cover of Crescent, the album before A Love Supreme.

You can see for yourself. I can't remember which magazine cover it was ( and I own this,go figure ),but they cropped the "WITH THE BEATLES" photo.
