Talk about a blast from the past, Last Crack has a new album out and it’s the first since 1991 with Buddo back on vocals. Imagine U2 and Jane’s Addiction or Saigon kick in a blender and you won’t be far off. Sounded pretty good from what I heard so far.

GYPSY.......hardly anyone remembers them or knows the band. The first album was a double album (incredible) & the second release are classics I’ve been playing since the 1970’s.

I agree with you on both of these bands.

I find it hard to comprehend that UFO are not regarded in the very top echelon of bands. Their run of 5 albums Phenomenon to Obsession is as good a run as any of the very best of the others.
Phil Mogg a wonderful singer (to this day) & there are non better than Michael Schenker. Plus brilliant songs.

A couple of underrated/under exposed metal bands from the 80's:
I also thought Waysted (Pete Way's band--of UFO fame) was underrated (as was his other band, Fastway)

Bodine (a Dutch Metal band from 80's) Check out Three Times Running. Some very impressive guitar work and driving heavy music!

    Bodine ‎– Three Times Running

    The B'zz--Get Up
First song on the album (Get Up, Get Angry) is pretty intense! The whole album was fairly heavy (a lot of guitar) not to mention a cool album cover!

Some newer bands that are way under the radar:
    Mercy Drive
    Ashes Remain
    Breaking Point
