United Audio - What happened to them?

    The availability of Dual turntables in the USA is really poor. All I see is price gouging. Used to be United Audio imported them, but now they get imported directly from Germany by Needle Doctor and a company in Canada.

    Out here, all of the United Audios became Tweeters. :shake:

    I liked United Audio. I bought quite a few things there.

    I bought a lot of equipment over the years from United Audio.First at the Lincoln Village store then OakBrook.I think Tweeter is just as good as United Audio was.Things have just swung more towards home theater,thats where the money is.

    Hi all,

    United Audio Products suddenly vanished in 1981 without a trace. Ortofon took over Dual distribution for a few years and Adcom had it for a while and then no real US offices.
