Lisa Hannigan made beautiful music with Damien Rice. I always thought they should be billed and promoted as a duo, but they weren't. Even in this (wonderful) clip, Conan just introduces Damien and doesn't mention Lisa despite the song being a duet.

 

Scheila Gonzalez has been a saxophone player in Dweezil Zappa's band since it's inception.

One of my all time fave female instrumentalists is Ruth Underwood.

She was a percussionist and a Mother (Of Invention) for quite a while:

 

Not exactly uncredited but Emmylou Harris deserves a lot more credit. She was a huge asset to Gram Parsons' solo albums. Gram may have planned to give Emmylou co-credit on Grievous Angel and there was album cover artwork featuring Emmylou with Gram, but he died before the album was released. Emmylou backed up many other artists and she was one of the best.
