Elton: ‘Hmm, someone’s getting excited here, I suppose...’ George: ‘I’m trying to watch a game, shut the **** up!!!’
This looks like when the film Shanghai Surprize was being filmed, Harrison's film company was making it. At some point they all came to Shepperton Studios in England to do some filming. At that time i was working at the studios in security. I remember one day George driving up to the boom gate and i was the only one in the little gatehouse. I saw it was him, my heart rate increased, i smiled and waved at him, he smiled back, then i pressed the button that raised the gate and he was gone! I may be completely wrong but i THINK he was driving a Corvette, but i could be confusing him with Gary Numan who i'm pretty sure also had a Corvette.[this was around 1985/6 i think] Numan had a recording studio in the complex, actually went inside a couple of times and spoke with him while watching some people recording. Anyway, this was when Madonna was huge in England and the press was doing everything to try and get good pics of her. Some reporters were climbing the fences around the complex to sneak in. So a few of us in security were tearing around the place in those electric golf buggies chasing these guys who had got in, and trying to stop others from getting over the fence. It was so much fun! On one of the days Madonna lost the key to a dressing room and instead of getting us to open it up, one of her very large body guards smashed the door in! I watched some of the filming and at times i was just a few feet from her. I was just wandering around all over the place even tho' it was a closed set. I was very surprized by how her face looked tbh. Quite different than what i'd seen of her on tv. I won't say why coz it's a very critical observation. This is a great thread, one of the best ever! I'd love to see some pics of Sex Pistols members with other musicians, especially ones from previous generations.
Yeah, Brian Johnson with two guys and a woman. Am I too less of an elitist having to do such guesswork?
More like ‘74 Halloween Jack ‘Live’ look. It’s the red hairdo preceding the blonde comb-do he would perfect for his Thin White Duke alter ego, he seems like he’s aware of where he is and there’s still some body fat noticeable. Erase the stache in thoughts and Lemmy looks surprisingly nerdy. Rock on in Heaven, bros!
Yeah, by further notice I recognised them. Still doesn’t erase the fact that pics should be captioned. I would happily trade in some rock ‘n roll credentials!
Went through 1/3th of the thread by now. Without trying to sound cynical I have to say some of our fav artists do seem to crave attention as if their lives depend upon it. No personal attack, just observing a human thing.
