Thanks for that. They're also on Spotify.

Shine A Light sounds very good on first listening. So does Mr D for that matter.

"Dancing With Mr. D" is the only thing I'm looking forward to on this set.

Here is the recently posted Allmusic review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine.

    3.5 Stars

If it feels as if Honk treads familiar ground, it's because it does. Arriving seven years after the career-spanning Grrr! -- a compilation available in a variety of iterations, all spanning from the earliest years to the 2010s -- Honk focuses squarely on the music the Rolling Stones made after leaving London/Decca, a catalog that now resides with Abkco. In other words, its ground zero is "Brown Sugar," a staple that arrives just after "Start Me Up" kicks off the double-disc set. Such sequencing indicates how Honkbounces through the years, letting the '70s sit next to the '80s, finding space for latter-day songs that only showed up on previous greatest-hits albums (there have been five since 1984), and shining the spotlight on such excellent latter-day cuts as "Rough Justice." The enticement for fans is the live disc that concludes the triple-disc edition, a collection of ten concert cuts from the 2010s, some featuring such stars as Dave Grohl, Ed Sheeran, Florence Welch, and Brad Paisley. Throughout it all, the Stonessound both sinewy and nimble -- it's fun to hear them spend time with the psych-pop of "She's a Rainbow" and get into the murk with "Dancing with Mr. D" -- but it's not quite enough to justify a purchase for fans who already have these hits elsewhere. But for those who somehow don't have this music or are looking for a basic overview of the Stones' reign on album rock, MTV and beyond, this does the job

Bull Moose is shipping the 3cd set tomorrow. When that 4lp box goes out from RS Corporate is anyone’s guess.

Whilst we are honking about this new Stones compilation I noticed an interesting and recent double cd of "The Rolling Stones Greatest Hits."
It is career spanning from 64'-12' & disc 2 has plenty that will show up on Honk.

The sellers name is below, apologies i cannot post the artwork.

I'm sure it's a treasure-trove of utterly new, brilliant, compelling, vital songs
that easily eclipse their late-60's/early 70's peak.

Expect an embarrassment of riches from this fresh band.

I think the version "circulating" now is unofficial, especially since the Bitch live version featuring Dave Grohl is the same as the studio version.
Same track length (3:37) as well.
Also there's an alternate version with slightly different track order. I'll wait for the flac cdda 100% cue/DR numbers.

A collection of 12'' remixed/extended versions and radio edits would have been more appreciated in my opinion.

They did. Obvious when streaming, too.
Only redeeming factor is that is fits well with other music on streaming services when shuffling!

I said it once and I'll say it again: If they had released videos to go along with this (perhaps an additional 3CD/2DVD set), HONK probably would sell even better. They certainly would've gotten my money, at least.

Nevertheless, I hope HONK does well, just to see The Stones back in action on the charts.

I hope it does well too, but with the tour (semi) supporting this release being pushed back due to Mick's health problems, any momentum (which likely was minimal) that this release had went out the window when the tour was postponed. It'll make a small blip on the album charts and then disappear.

    Again, why the moaning?
The band has released compilations for over 50 years. Every time a new one comes along, people yell because they can’t see the point from their point of view.
Well then, just avoid it if it has no interest. They wouldn’t be making compilations if they knew it wouldn’t sell. It’s pure marketing and money speculation. And so what?

A new advertised compilation will sell a lot better than an old one, because of it’s fresh nature. The majority of people are not going to drag themselves to the nearest Stones section in the shops. What are layed before Joe Public, they will buy on the spot.

Everything is not aimed at hardcore fans. This one isn’t and that’s just fine. At least appreciate the potential new fans who will buy this, are getting some fantastic music.
I, for one, will not buy this, but I can appreciate others who are discovering the music for the first time and will have a great time with this release.
