34.99 is above my breaking point, maybe the Blue Note 80 series will be more reasonable. On the other hand, there's very little on the label that I don't already have.
This looks like it on Amazon UK....https://www.amazon.co.uk/Etcetera-LP-VINYL-Wayne-Shorter/dp/B07LD8VFVJ?ref_=mw_olp_product_details but with no option to buy. Hopefully that will change pretty soon as I am itching to get in on this series. Edit - I can order from Amazon US, but the price comes out at $50 delivered. I’m hoping for something better than that.
Looks great. Do I see a barcode on the back cover? Does anyone have a link to Chick Corea's albun on amazon?
Now He Sings, Now He Sobs [LP] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LD4VTNR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zk9lCb7MHPA76
I imagine it's pretty low on the list, but if the Pacific library is open for these, I'd love an audiophile reissue of the first self-titled Chico Hamilton Quintent album.
I cant lie the barcode turns me off but looks like a great continuation of the MM quality we all love!
You're probably right . The presentation of the new one makes so much more sense and it's more sexy... sensy
Why all the kvetching about barcodes? Who cares? If it's well-pressed AAA from master tapes and original artwork with nice tip-on jackets, does it really matter that much?
I'm subscribed to it. The complaining about SRX price, lack of new titles and shipping costs are not unreasonable, as far as I'm concerned, if that's what you're referring to. I'm guilty of that.
Its not a huge deal about the barcodes..Its just a little thing that takes the presentation down just a hair. Believe me, I will still probably buy every one and I am sure itll be better produced than 99 percent of vinyl reissues!
These pictures look like artist renderings. Maybe the final product will have barcodes, or not. Let's save the griping for when they're in our hands.
I think what bothers me more is when MoFi (and some older AP) replaces original record labels with their own.
