Upgraded power supply for X-Cans?

    I have the original Musical Fidelity X-Cans which came with a "wall wart" power supply.
    The specs are I/P 60 Hz 9W, O/P 500ma. I know MF made an upgraded power supply (PSU?) which could handle a few MF products but is out of production.

    Since I only have the one MF product I wonder if anyone can recommend an upgraded power supply for the X-Cans.

    I use a 5 ampere, 12 volt regulated power supply I got at a local electronics store.

    $30. :D
