V.S.O.P. Jazz CDS(Great!)

Last night, I was listening to different CDs I hadn't listened to in along time, and I came across VSOP #102- Howard Roberts & the Magic Band II Live at Donte's,recorded in May 1968. This recordin g was done on an Ampex two-track at 7.5 IPS,with only three microphones. Sounds very clean punchy and alive! There is a bit of overloading, but they captured the club very well , as I attended many shows at Donte's during the seventies, before it closed.Anyone else have any experiences with this label. Reminds me of the Contemporary Label, except nor far left and right separation.
