and what a cast of comedy gold actors anyone else here who adores VP Selina Meyer and her entourage ?
Absolutely. One of my favourite comedy series ever, and consistently good throughout its seven season run.
Loved it...my favorite show at the time. It started going downhill after she lost the presidency. It probably should've ended at that point. The final season was too absurd. Jonah as VP?!? Come on....
Tall McCartney Guyscraper The Cloud Botherer Could be a top 10 all time show for me. Definitely top 15. I love it and have watched it many times over. Amy the last season was pure gold. Not that she wasn't before.
I've had the suspicion (though I have no way of knowing, having never worked there) that Veep depicts work and life inside the White House more accurately than The West Wing.
the easter bunny scene when selina speaks with the marine is pure comedy gold really so many scenes , Kent naming his cat Fibonacci (but ofc) this show screams for repeated watching , the jokes both verbal and body/physical are too many to get in one watch
Watched it for the first time a few months back because the wife wanted to watch it for a second time. I’m typically not a fan of political shows but this one is a comedy classic.
Not the White House, but I happened to be working on a campaign for federal office when Veep first came out, and I had to stop watching because it was causing me anxiety - the situations were all too real.
just finished the fifth season , curious how they will proceed story wise now i am HOOKED , this show is like watching friends in reverse , super smart comedy
sixth season seems way off , like a bad sitcom makeup hoping it improves , first five seasons were great but episodes 1 and of 2 of sixth season were very very mediocre
The final season, and the series finale in particular, are right up there, and probably deserve more acknowledgment than they get. I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this already but I’d recommend Armando Iannucci’s previous show, The Thick Of It, which does the same thing for a UK government department. The final episode contains two of the greatest rants I’ve seen on television.
