I'm completely fine if they start with more "obvious" titles, so long as they do some hidden gems after this batch is over. I'll probably pick up a few of these unless there are major problems with them. I don't really do preorders anymore but I'll be watching for reviews from members here.

Asphalt Canyon Suite is amazingly good. Have not heard Night Song.

Agreed. A marvelous record. Night Song too. I have both CDs and treasure them.

There are a few of these I don't have. I do have the Speakers Corner reissue of A Love Supreme...I wonder how this will compare.

Have you compared it to the AP 45?

Great news, I’ll be in for most of these.
I don’t have any of the audiophile ALS releases, so super excited about that one.

Those Coltrane titles are instant buys for me. Will probably grab a few others too. Awesome! Probably will grab the Armstrong/Peterson too. Can’t wait!

Ryan Smith (RKS) has done a great job mastering some of the Vinyl Me Please AAA Blue Note reissues.

My point exactly. I have paid $31.95 for all the Tone Poets that I have pre ordered on Amazon Canada and I have almost all of them. I have only bought one at a brick and mortar store, and I paid about $37 Canadian for it. I snagged one Tone Poet for $29.99 on pre order.

Same here. The only ones I paid more for were "Poppin'"and "Comin' Your Way" since I got fed up waiting for Amazon to get them
after being delayed for months and cancelled my pre-order. I added them to a recent Acoustic Sounds order, and of course Amazon
gets them within the next few days. Now they're $50 each for those who didn't pre-order

No...that’s been selling for crazy prices lately. I got the Speakers Corner when it was relatively inexpensive, and that seems to be worth quite a bit now too.

Woah, that escalated quickly. I didn't expect this to happen but maybe it's a case of "Steve Hoffman forums" effect? Luckily, I pre-ordered them through Amazon Canada as soon as I found out.

i've seen that happen before with the Tone Poets,
just request the email when they're up, and they'll send the link to pre-order when it goes up again.
I don't think it makes a difference when you get an order in, they're months away from shipping,
and i'd bet donuts they'll be delayed before the launch date comes.

Think so? Seems like a huge oversight for them to announce release dates 6 weeks out knowing they’d miss them, considering they could have easily given themselves a ton of buffer and no one would have batted an eye.

almost all the Tone Poets were later than the first schedule. (they change the website dates on the go,
    some people didn't notice.)
Plus it's a pandemic with plants playing catch up.
Plus everything Chad touches is late. I'm guessing they only announced the rest of 2020 schedule becuase
there is a good chance they get a few weeks or a month behind even after the first two titles.
If not, we'll all be thrilled. If they are late, don't be surprised.

I'm sure the schedule will be better than the Prestige 33 series AP did, that was 2 years late.

If your doing Coltrane, then I think something like Meditations or Crescent would be more interesting?

Ballads is not a favorite, but I'll buy anyway I expect.

But great news overall. This trend of the labels doing there own audiophile releases is very welcome.

Even though I just dropped a small fortune on a copy of Interstellar Space, I'd love for that to be a part of the series.
