I never knew of this all those years ago, but it's cool to see Dory in the flesh, talking about her music and performing several tunes in the studio. The quality isn't the greatest and the recording includes commericals, but nonetheless, I enjoyed seeing this time capsule. I keep hoping there will be a rediscovery, reappraisal and appreciation of her music.

Just "discovered" her via a friend who shared some old LPs with me...very intriguing voice, quirky melodies and lyrics. For some reason, it reminds me, in tone, of a lot of Michael Nesmith's solo stuff. Still digging in, but I'm enjoying what I've heard so far (On My Way To Where & Mythical Kings and Iguanas)

Thanks. Dory is a sadly under-recognized talent. I guess I'd file under "confessional singer-songwriter."

She wrote and performed her own material, and should be included in any discussion of female artists from before the barrier was broken--but she rarely is.
