Maybe the listing has been changed since you posted this (I notice it says "revised"), but I don't find this particularly misleading as it now reads. While the picture shows two cd covers, the description is very clear that the only way to get the second disc is to use the "buy it now" option.

I think it's legal, but a silly way to list it that could be confusing to a bidder that doesn't fully read the description. Why would you ever make the more expensive cd the free one?

$30 for both, including shipping, is not bad! I wonder why he is listing it this way????

When I have a "crappy" one, I save the JB and toss the graphics and disc!

Weird! Throw in a UDII as a freebie?

I have a stack of a couple dozen jazz promo CDs that I'm probably going to auction off as a lot, or just ditch the contents and save the jewel boxes. The music, IMHO, is ****, and it was already on half.com for nearly two years w/o selling. One CD is so bad though, I'm keeping it. Some guy on his trumpet and keyboards, recorded in his basement studio. "My Voyage Beyond It's Boundaries" it reads. Heh.

I think it might be against Ebay policies which state that Bonuses are not allowed. The MFSL CD is clearly a BONUS if you use the Buy It Now.

Hmmm...that's certainly a "lesser offense" in my book. ;) I once gave away a free disc with an LP sold. I got rid of extra copies of some Cal Tjader LPs I had (who needs duplicates when you have 80+ Cal Tjader albums? ;) ), and with the one auction, I threw in a CD-R dub of my reel tape with the LP. Sort of a consolation since I knew the LP wasn't in the best of condition...and I did describe it as such.

I think he's offering a cdr copy of the disc, not the actual disc itself

Then it definitely would be illegal. I kind of doubt it though. Seems more like an old English language thing, but then there is always the slim possibility you could be right. Maybe the buyer hangs out here and can let us all know.

I thought for a minute that you might be right, but he lists the UDII as being in "excellent" condition, so it sounds like he's sending the actual disc.

    Very odd...
