Vic Anesini: Elvis done right!

    Re: Vic Ansini's mastering, I bought a new amp and the BST "Father is the Child" remastered CD at the same time. At first I couldn't tell if was the amp or the mastering, but it sounded *terrific*--a real "master tape experience." Several months have passed, and yes, my new amp is great but that CD remains a gem. I prefer it to my Mofi version which sounds rather pinched with a much narrower soundstage. The guy really does do good work.

    I just bought that CD a few months ago and it is great.
    When I tell my friends about it, though, they don't want to know. When they think Blood Sweat & Tears they think of David Clayton Thomas and stuff like "Spinning Wheel". I just can't get them to listen to it!
    Oh, well, their loss. :)

    This isn't the place to discuss it, but the Al Kooper led combo *was* BST IMO. Terrific songs on that record--and the Ansini remaster is *the* way to hear it.
