"I Do" did quite well on the radio (especially the commercial stations), but not in the charts. None of the tracks on the latest album did very well in the charts.

"Mr Know It All" is just released. At the moment only 1 major station is playing the song. Maybe in 2012... Agnes Obel took over 6 months, before it was a "real hit".

It depends all from the commercial stations. National stations (except 1) are more "alternative minded".

Without airplay from national stations it's hard to get in the charts. Except if your name is Rihanna or David Guetta.

Of the poll choices, I've heard Adele (meh), Foster the People (ugh) and Arcade Fire (okay). Frankly I can't be bothered to enlighten myself any further at this point, mainly because it would take forever ...

Other: Man Down by Rihanna. And I usually don't like her, but this 80s-dancehall-flavored tune won me over.

I like a lot of the artists, but different tracks. Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Vaccines, Dum Dum Girls, Decemberists, TV on the Radio, R.E.M., Black Keys, Beady Eye, Noel Gallagher, Cut Copy, some others.

I do like the Lykke Li songs, the Cults' song, the retro Moneygrabber is cool...I didn't see Black Joe Lewis or My Morning Jacket, North Mississippi Allstars, Seasick Steve, but I liked several songs from their albums.

And I forgot The Avett Brothers too. It was in Radio 1's list of 2011.

    Bump :)

Strange ... so little votes for some of 2011's most hyped / played tracks: Gotye, Lykke Li, Agnes Obel, Jamie Woon, Brooke Fraser,...

    Where are those Hooverphonic-fans? :D

    +1

There's a lot of diversity of genres and artists here. Many have been very popular and are in various "yearend" lists all over the world.

I voted for Adele, Mark Ronson (best album of 2010 IMO), Foster the People (of course), Alice Gold, Florence, M83 :) and Lana Del Rey (still waiting for the album to drop).

The rest didn't really interest me or I haven't really heard much of or at all (yet).

Thanks for voting Mindgames & nbakid.

They're in the list, not in the poll. So many artists ... shame on me :agree::agree:
