Me: I was held up the other night after leaving the bar.
    Pal: That's terrible, what happened?
Me: I was held up all the way home. Good friends are hard to come by.

Judith Durham of The Seekers and Iain Matthews of Fairport Convention. No joke they are even better now than in their hey-deys. And I'm talking live (I heard Matthews sing without even a mic).

Durham is particularly impressive considering how she lost many basic motor skills after a brain aneurysm. Yet a year later she was on stage belting out the best vocals of her life.

    I'm so impressed.

  10. I saw her in Bar Harbor, Maine a couple of years ago, and her voice was incredible.

Still, would have been nice if "who's" had been changed to "whose" as well.

It is amazing isn't it? Makes you wonder -- is it good genes, clean living, luck, or ?

Paul Rodgers, saw him 2 years ago, unbelievable. Perfect vocals, just like the 70s

I think Robert Plant sings great now, but his voice and range are nothing like his early 70s prime, it’s a like a completely different singer now.

Billy Idols voice held up, such as it is.

Ann Wilson also still sounds great.

I’m not going back that far. But her voice hasn’t changed much since I saw her in the early 80s and the softness had been replaced by sandpaper

Howe far back is vintage? Steve Overland from FM sounded fantastic in Wildlife in the mod-80's and sounds every bit as good today. If not better.
