Picked up the red-white-and-blue (the “white” would be more accurately called “clear”) splatter vinyl edition of CCR’s “Chronicle.” Looks much better than the muddy green vinyl that WalMart had been selling and sounds just as good.

Anyone have a list of which are mastered by CB or other good mastering engineers? I mean the STP looks pretty cool but I doubt it stands up soundwise to the MOV. And that saying the MOV is some mastering wonder. Metallica we know.
I think my post may have appeared to imply that the STP's are CB cut. I dont know if they are or not. Sorry about that. I only know the Metallica's are. What I was asking is of all the Wal-mart colored vinyl albums mentioned which are CB cut? Or for that matter who mastered the albums. Everyone keeps throwing up cool pics and saying "it sounds good to me" but I want to know what is in the dead wax as far as initials, if any. Colored vinyl is cool. Colored vinyl with good mastering? Even cooler.
The STP Purple 'blue/white splatter' vinyl is the same cut used for the 25th Anniversary set. Bernie Grundman or BG is in the deadwax. Sounds phenomenal. Stone Temple Pilots – Purple (2021, Blue with White Splatter, Vinyl)
Are the black (non Walmart) 2021 STP remasters also BG cut? I would assume so but Discogs doesn't say. Stone Temple Pilots – Purple (2021, 180G, Vinyl)
I got the Tusk and self-titled Fleetwood Mac colored vinyl reissues, same pressings as the Walmart exclusives though I ordered from Amazon UK, and they were both excellent as well.
