Thanks for posting...less than $20 is amazing...the good stuff doesn't seem to make it to my local Walmart. I preordered 2....for today anyways!
Here it is. It's not sold out yet. Jerry Garcia - Might As Well: A Round Records Retrospective (Walmart Exclusive) - Rock Vinyl LP (UMG) - Walmart.com
If you're looking for an even more exclusive version, Brooklyn Vegan has a /500 JERRY GARCIA ‘MIGHT AS WELL’ 2LP (Limited Edition – Only 500 Made, Orange Vinyl)
Funny I saw that and also found it via the Goldmine Magazine store JERRY GARCIA ‘MIGHT AS WELL’ 2LP (Limited Edition – Only 500 Made, Orange Vinyl) I guess Walmart has fully established themselves as a vinyl retailer if they are able to blow out of 2,000 copies in such a short time and these 2 shops that apparently share in the 500 allotment still have their orange variant available.
Back in stock........just ordered 10 to be on the safe side just in case I run into dishing, inner groove distortion, crushed corners and covers, off center lp,pops and crackles etc.
Anyone get the new Dave Matthews Band record? I saw it was on transparent blue. I haven't seen good reviews of the music and I'm not a big fan of transparent so two it has two strikes unfortunately.
Did you get the Stones mono color LPs? (not a Walmart Exclusive) Rolling Stones, The - The Rolling Stones in Mono - Colored Vinyl Box Set - 16xLP
Never even heard about it. Was it expensive at the time, or do you know? I would of wanted it for the titles not in the Dutch 1978 series of Stones Decca cv.
It's a great set. I absolutely love it. Amazon has had it drop as low at $290 (though it's $364 right now). I'm sure there'll be some deals on it. Abkco sells it for $375.
Beyond the mono box, there are a whole bunch of colored/clear vinyl pressings for the ABKCO era which have been released individually at various times. Just not at Walmart (although the Hot Rocks gold vinyl LP was/is available at Walmart, I believe). They've been available through normal retail channels and/or were Record Store Day releases. Many are still pretty easy to obtain in the primary retail market or the secondary market. Plus most of the newer live legacy releases have been available on assorted colored vinyl. For the most part though, the post-ABKCO era catalog hasn't been released recent years on colored vinyl (other some limited red editions available only at the Carnaby St store).
Has anyone had the 'Hot Space' LP show up in their Walmart? None of the Walmarts around me have gotten any.
Queen - Hot Space (Walmart Exclusive) - Rock Vinyl LP (Hollywood Records) - Walmart.com Shows in stock available for pickup at a couple of stores in my area so check yours.
If you look up any of theses albums on the Walmart website, it will show you a picture of the album. To the side left of that, will be a smaller picture of the album front cover, and under that, a picture of the album’s back cover. Click on that and it lists the song selection, but you’ll probably need to enlarge it to read them.
Went to get a 12 pack last night and ended up in the Walmart Vinyl section. Grateful Dead "Skeletons from The Closet" on White Vinyl has CB in dead wax and is absolutely an audiophile gem. I'm a huge Dead fan, and this isn't a go-to album for me. But it was the first Dead album I owned, so there's some sentimentality. I've never heard these tracks like this... An absolute must buy. Get it while you can.
