My mom asked, since she is elderly and it starts I believe 5am her time (3am Pacific). Usually her insomnia is getting her to BED around 5am  The Rose Parade is usually re-broadcast on delay in its' entirety (she doesn't want to see just little clips).

Our local tv guides have Coronation coverage starting at 3 a.m. CDT. I plan to go to bed early tonight to get up for the event around 3 or 4.

Hey, Canada is part of the Commonwealth and it's an opportunity to witness history live.

I thought all this monarchy nonsense was over last year. Now there's this. Can it just end?? They milk it for all it's worth.

Me neither. But if the elderly woman wants to see it I hope she gets to see it.

There will be youtube videos, maybe set a laptop computer in front of your mom and she can watch it that way?

My wife is getting up with my daughter to watch it. Pretty sure it's streaming on Youtube, I believe on Sky's channel. She bought a box of Walker's shortbread and some Twining's to go with it.

I'm a republican but it is history. Once in a lifetime stuff so I'll view it like a costume drama.

Should have skipped a generation but there you go.

That'll be cool if they can delay it for viewers in L.A.

I have cable so I've set up the recording time and will watch at my convenience. I'm not particularly interested but it may be something to note.

Well as he is in his mid 70s, it could well be twice in a lifetime

I have it on now while doing other things, but you have to respect the UK for doing
such a major production, especially since the last one was 70 years ago.
Couldn't help thinking of this Monty Python clip while listening to some of the
    pomp and circumstance.

  22. If you "liked" the statement for malice related issues then you should feel bad.
If you "liked" the statement from a human lifespan, pure math, point of view then you are okay because it is simply the truth.

Well exactly, even if he lives another 25 years or so to same age as his father was, then William starts his job at the tender age of 65
