WD40 Record Cleaning?!!

    Sorry man, not my experience. I have done 7 years of cyclocross competition in Belgian winters so I know all about mud/rain :D ! You leave it on for a short time so it can penetrate the chain links and then, before going out riding, you wipe the chain completely dry with a rag! Used this way, the chain will be kept clean for the longest time. I have used and tried gazillion oils, wet, dry, whatever. Sorry to get OT.

    Because far too many people want to be given the answer instead of searching, learning and finding it.

    They have a library at their finger tips and many of the topics regarding technical information and procedures have been discussed ad nauseum. If a product or technic is new or fairly recent that's different but most are not.

    Also some of us feel compelled to help and share which often times just adds to the clutter and confusion and is very often redundant.
