  2. Actually there is lots of talent there. Richard Hamilton was a wonderful artist too and he created that blank canvas originally for the Beatles. The Beatles were always open for trying some new different and out of the box they would have all loved this concept and installation

If you listen to the "Side 1 x 100" mp3 on the site, it sounds like a Pink Floyd album!

The coolest part is listening to his collage of 100 plays of different sides one. It's really fun. Let's just say there are a few skips, and it goes into the stratosphere after that.

:agree: It sounds putting your head into a time portal to 1968 made out of a really long concrete pipe....

That fade in to Glass Onion is amazing...... Then it gets crazy.

All the 2,700,000 - 2,800,000 copies are in Ohio.

  14. Except someone here probably has more copies than him of The White Album and half are still sealed ...

Maybe it's because I have a buzz going, but that soundcloud was pretty cool!

I went in cynical but found the whole thing quite charming.

I'd never seen a White Album with the owner's custom artwork before and wondered whether the fabs themselves envisaged people drawing their own covers.

The idea reminded me of an album by Christian Marclay, Record Without a Cover, where the album came unprotected with instructions to keep it that way meaning that it was covered in the unique pops and crackles it had gained since you bought it. Which also fits in conceptually with the 100 White Albums at once thing which is also a Christian Marclay style idea.

    Interesting stuff.

Maybe the Beatles themselves will hear about this project and donate their personal low-numbered copies. :D

Now Universal's taken over EMI they should get some forensic accountants to find out what happened to those 100,000 White Albums :p

I skipped around a few times after twenty seconds or so in a ramdom section and each time heard the ending of I Want You (She's So Heavy).

When I started to hear My Sweet Lord at the end of Wild Honey Pie I knew it was time to switch it off.
