Let's head back to 1985 for one of the year's big albums, Tears For Fears' "Songs From the Big Chair"!

With only 8 songs, we'll have 1 round of multiple elimination.

So this time, pick the two weakest links!

Discussion: when did you first hear "Songs", and what did you think of it at the time?

I loved The Hurting and I think I bought it the day it came out. I can't remember when I got Songs but it was quite a while after it was released. I had all the singles and so there wasn't much incentive to get the album for 2 tracks (The Working Hour and Listen).

It's a very odd album for something so successful, I think my favourite sequence is Broken / Head Over Heals / Broken (Reprise) / Listen. Over all I prefer the more introverted Hurting. I'm not adverse to bombast, I adore Elemental, which I think is the best album under the TFF name.

I will vote of "Mothers Talk".
Not really my favourite song on the album.

"Broken" would be my second vote, but I didn't read the original post carefully and only voted for one song.

Wow...this is a really hard one. I went with I Believe and Listen.

I am interested in seeing the results, but am not able to. You have to vote first. I won't do that as I am not familiar with the whole album. Not sure why it is hidden.

and though I didn't vote I Believe is next. The rest of the album is brilliant....though Shout is a song that sometimes...I could just do without.

Yeah I'm talking to YOU, Shout. ;)

Broken and Listen. I don’t recall when I first heard the entire album. But it was some years after it was released.

I think we can guess what the final 2 tracks will be as no one has voted for them yet!

To discourage "tactical voting". When you can preview the results, people change their votes...

Amazed how many people voted for Mother's Talk, although atypical for TFF it was a great song.

People.do tactical voting? They care that much about what is voted out? Isn't it just a bit of fun?

Compared with the others, I just don't think it's as good.
Anyway, while I still like it, it's not my favourite on the album.
