This manages to be both weird and hip. And you get to see Page and Beck in the Yardbirds.

Wonderful thread - I shudder to think how many of these films I've seen and what it's done to me. Liquid Sky was an early favorite.
Anyone who misses early John Waters can get their fix from this 2016 reincarnation. Directed by the gonzo Jim Hosking and co-produced by Elijah Wood:

Good call! His movies are so weird. Gloriously so. I've killed a few hours laughing at the madness. I haven't seen "Deerskin" yet but I'm looking for it.

I have a weird movie I have been trying to figure out the title to since forever. When I was a kid I saw this scene in an 80s or 90s film. A brown haired boy was cooking something I guess and then the next thing the pot lid blows through the brown shingled roof. Any ideas?

The movie started out well but then it become unbearable towards the end and not in a good way (not for horror movies)...

This one makes Mad Max seem downright tame. Definitely, um...different! :nyah:

This guy gets it! The director's Vimeo page has his short films, commercials and music video on display. 100% bizarro. But amazingly, his "Universal Remote Control" video for Moones, while disturbing, is not even that band's weirdest. I would give that honor to "Better Energy" directed by Peter Sluszka. 110% bizarro.

I know this was a year ago but Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!

I'd never heard of this, but it is on Prime and we watched it tonight. It's absolutely delightful and we laughed and laughed.

I've watched Midsommar twice now; I can't stop thinking about it. It has a lot to take in, and I think it takes repeated viewings to get everything in it. Very strange moving, and in some ways very moving and very unnerving.

This is a microbudget film I worked on a few years ago that qualifies. Made for $10,000 by artist Joe Badon, it's a freaky little slice of weirdness. Available on Amazon Prime.
