Hi, I kinda did this a bit backwards...joined, replied to a thread and now reading the welcome thread. Nothing new for me, jumping in and then reading the instructions...

Thanks for the info guys, I kept wondering if there was a tab or something in my profile that I just couldn't find. Can someone point me to a list of these new member limitations (if one exists)?

How long do you have to be a member, or how many posts do you have to have, in order to see all the forums? I've heard that there is a WTB forum here but I can't see it.

Okay...kind of a bummer as I was told of a thread that I can't even see. But it's fine.

What if you just want your own posts to display? Mine keep getting removed as though I've done something wrong. Even the ones I can see say "This message is awaiting moderator approval, and is invisible to normal visitors." I've been a member for nearly a year now. Seems sort of strange to be posting things that no one will see.

I dunno about that, it seems you've been around long enough so that shouldn't happen. I remember my first 5 or so posts were invisible until a moderator approved them, and then it stopped.

Try contacting a mod directly. On the right hand side of the forum title page there's a list of users online and a list of staff online. Click on a staff member and message them directly about your issue. They're good at getting back to people pretty quickly. Hope that helps.

Nice to interact with like-minded people.
I thought I was the only person that takes time out of the day to sit down and actually LISTEN to music.

I like the hardware forum here... same basic content as Audiogon, with much less lunacy.

I just signed up a few days ago. I didn't see any info on whether members could edit posts in the "Policies and Terms Of Use Page." Nor am I able to message a moderator about this. If a mod is reading, please delete the phrase "New Jersey-bred" from the "Bernadette Carroll R.I.P." thread I started that's in moderation. It's redundant!

    Hi Sophie,

Look at the to of the page. You will see three buttons on the top right with your name, Inbox, and Alerts. Click you name and you will be presented with options to fill in your profile, preferences, avatar, and other things. Some things will not be available to you until you have made a certain number of posts. 50, I think.
