Im a bit late to the party with a join date of 7/4/20, so thanks for putting up with all my crizzzola in the short time Ive been here. Great forum for sure, love this place and its members! And great job Gorting, Gorts!
I always enjoy my visits here, I even enjoy faux outrage (never posted, of course) at the threads that have become cliche. Happy Birthday, SHMF!
I'm a late joiner, but immediately realized this forum is truly a treasure chest of information. The established members are simply in a class by themselves, and Gorts keeping things civilized make it a pleasure to participate. Happy 20th SHMF! - and a big Thank You to Steve H. and Holy Zoo!
moe. Live at Emerald City on 1997-09-23 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive (was not expecting power outage and unfortunately did not have omnidirectional capsules handy for acoustic set or I would have spread them a bit rather than use cardioid caps in ortf ish configuration, that set sounds "interesting"(and not in a good way) especially due to the cardboard vodka box drum).
Happy Birhtday to all! Congrats! and Thanks! (and just to keep the Beatles references to a bare minimum, dig this
Wow on this day in 2002 I was in a completely different world than I am now, as I'm sure most of us were. I was still in high school. I was still into audio but I was into shelf systems and lusting over car audio back in those days.
Wow. I've been here for almost a decade?? Time flies when you're having fun. Thanks guys for the memories! ~ Ben K.
Hey everyone...Happy 20th! It's hard to believe it's been that long. I've been browsing the forum unaware of the actual time and the day just changed to Thursday the 13th here in the Toronto time zone, so I missed posting on the actual anniversary It goes to show that time truly flies re the SH forum; whether it be 20 years or twenty minutes I've not been very active over the past few years, while dealing with health problems, unrelated to the cursed virus. Also, my allergy to streaming music and the increased cost of buying any form l of hard copy has gotten in the way of keeping up and enjoying things as much as I used to. With so many of my favorite artists now gone from the Temporal plane, all things music related really don't feel the same. But at least ol' Bobby D. is still kickin' up a storm in his own "Rough and rowdy Ways"... so hope still springs eternal that we'll all figure out our way to remaining "forever young" along with him. Let's hope great music and musicians continue to help us on our way back to living lives as better people, after this long and difficult trial. Peace
Posting in this thread so I can be a part of history too! I haven't been here as long as some but I've certainly embraced it. Not a day goes by where I don't check into the Hoffman forums.
Happy Birthday! I had been perusing this site on and off since the 2000s but didn't become a member until 2015. I've learned much more about music here than anywhere else on the Innerwebs.
Happy Birthday, SHF - the forum and the folks here have been such a boon on my continuing musical journey. Thank you Steve for setting it up and bless us all. John
After 20 years (sniff, sniff) the paint still smells as fresh as it did on my first visit here...all those years ago!
