the guys' from the original well tempered also advised me to make twist on the belt.
to their opinion it should improve something in the sound.
    i tried it , didn't hear a significant diference

Either 5W20 or 5W30 synthetic oil for the platter.
The nubbins are the teflon (?) bushings that the spindle rides against.

thanks i'll try to get one of those oils.
for the nubbins , i think it's no Teflon but some thung else, forgot its name.
i actually replaced then for new ones after the original was worn out.
    hope i did it well.
and may be it's time to replace a turntable.
ha d to much issues with this one.
had to replace one of the nylon string of the azimuth , after it torn.
the screw of the anti skating also dont work perfect, and no this.

The anti skate is a bit fiddly.
Mine works best with the posts closed and the azimuth has to be right. There's a small hidden screw you have to snug up to keep the azimuth steady.
    copied from another site:
there is a teflon screw (and screwdriver access hole) in the back of the arm to lock in your azimuth

the wheel on mine does not effect the posts , since the screwing on which its rotates is probably defected.
so i move the posts manually.
i have a very good test record from the 80's , called " bbc stereo test disc".
from my experience its one of the best for accurate antiskating.
and i can hear the difference in my ears.

i know about this teflon screw, not sure i used it this time.
    thanks for reminding me,

if i have both options 5W20 AND 5W30 , is one of the two more recommended?

Either one should be fine, just pick up a bottle of whichever synthetic is cheaper.
