The most recent 33rpm Kevin Gray, is only Kevin, no SH.

I'd almost picked up an lp version at HMV last year, now I'm glad I waited.

But the Kevin Gray cut 33 has been available since 2015. Why are you glad you waited?

Yikes! didn't realize how old this thread was!

The 45, which is considered the best pressing out there, came out a long time ago. And it sat in retailers for almost 2 years before finally selling out. I grabbed one before it went out of print. Vince and his trio are right in the room.

The currentKG 200g copy is sublime and absolutely a must own-particularly if you're like me and have never found an original and missed the 45rpm copy.

I was under the impression all copies from 1988 onwards and the current yearly represses are all based on the digital master made for the first CD. Has anyone ever sat down and written a comparison between all the vinyl variants?

Playing the 2006 SH/KG 45 rpm today, and I love how these records sound. Merry Christmas y'all.

I picked up a NM used copy of the 33.3 Kevin Gray 2014 re-cut this week. Lucky me!

I didn't know it was out of print. But do look out for the SH/KG 45rpm set.

I have to find it first! Not easy, I have two sets of test pressings for every record I've ever worked on going back to 1982, and they are now out of order..

Man, didn't realize how close the KG cut is to being OOP (and probably as expensive as the 45RPM before too long).
I was able to snag a copy for normal retail price from an online shop.... Fingers crossed their quantities are accurate! But yeah, I would jump on this one now......

The KG cut is sublime. I put in my preorder when it was first announced and it’s one of the best pressed LPs in my collection.

I’ve been looking for your version for years and can never afford it. This would be excellent!

I hear a wider stereo field on the original CD than later remasters, including the Kevin Gray LP, and Joe Tarantino CD. Were those remixed?

Is the Kevin Gray's version OOP or not? Where could I find one? I checked the three major online stores, none. Is it the 33 not the 45, right? I have the SH/KG 45, I was lucky to get one when it was first released. Also saw a SACD of this album. Wonder how that sounds?

You can only get the KG 33 on Discogs now.

Ok, thanks. Just checked, there's one for $65 sealed. Is it necessary to buy KG's, is it equal to SH/KG's 45, meaning sound quality wise? Being 33RPM, wouldn't have to get up and flip the LP over and over, lol! Really I don't mind, enjoy best quality of sound! Thanks, SoundDoctor!

Thus, why I posted about feeling lucky to find a used copy of it in the wild last week. Really an incredible find, even though $30 ain't cheap, it's better than $65.
