By "skip" I mean don't own or don't play.

I really like Jethro Tull, and have albums from them from "This Was" to "Heavy Horses", but I skip (don't want or own) "A Passion Play", "War Child", and "Too Old To Rock N Roll ...".

I'm not really talking about albums released after your cut off point with the artist. For example Elton John has a ton of albums, and if you cut him off at "Captain Fantastic" for example, I don't expect you to list all his albums after that.

But, if you have all his albums up to "Captain Fantastic", yet you skip "Honky Chateau" let's say, then post that.

Btw, no one should skip "Honky Chateau" :realmad:

I have cut off albums for every long running act that I like. 10 years is a pretty common bow out time.

I agree with you about "Too Old To Rock N Roll" the album, it's a snooze fest. I'd sell it, if there were still record stores.

Every time I listen to my vinyl version of "Tales ..." I think of selling it, because it's pretty dull, but I never quite do. Such a pretty cover. :D

For me it's The Stones, Their Satanic Majesties Request. It just never did anything for me.

To Old To Rock and Roll... is far from my favorite Tull album, but I have kept my original LP copy for this reason:

John Lennon: Some Time In NYC.

I listen to it once a year or so to see if the album will click with me. So far, after numerous decades, the answer is still no.

I have all their albums from "Aftermath" to "Tattoo You", but if I was to get rid of one, "Satanic Majesties Request" would easily be the first to go.

I own all the Stones studio albums except for Exile... owned it numerous times over the last 40 years, but it's never tripped my trigger so I gave my last copy away...

Dylan - Shot Of Love (oh and again with those murder Sinatra albums)
Neil Young - Landing On Water
Bing Crosby - any "sing along" albums (popular in the early sixties)

For many years Whitesnakes Slip Of The Tongue would have been on this list but the 30th Anniversary remaster blew my mind and made me really re-evaluate it.

I really like the title track, so I bought a cheap vinyl Tull 'best of ' comp to have it. Also "Skating Away On The Thin Ice Of A New Day", since I'm not a fan of the War Child album.

    Madame X by Madonna.

It’s fair to say that none of her albums in the last 2 decades have been sensational, but Madame X just pushed me that little bit too far.:)
